Scrap Silver Identification Guide
Sterling (.925)
Common Items: Flatware (Spoons, Forks, Knives), Holloware (Tea Sets, Trays), and Jewelry.
What to Look For: Look for "Sterling," ".925," or British hallmarks like the Lion Passant.
Cash Insight: Sterling items are often heavy; even a single tarnished tray can represent a significant cash payout.
90% Coin Silver
Common Items: Pre-1965 Dimes, Quarters, and Half Dollars, plus Morgan and Peace Dollars.
What to Look For: Dates of 1964 or earlier and the absence of a "copper sandwich" on the edge.
Cash Insight: These coins are highly liquid. We pay a premium cash rate for these because of their established silver content.
Other / Industrial
Common Items: 40% Silver Halves (1965-1970), 35% War Nickels (1942-1945), and 80% Canadian Silver.
What to Look For: The "silver edge" on 40% halves or large mint marks above the dome on nickels.
Cash Insight: Don't overlook these; while lower in purity, they add up quickly to increase your total cash payout.
Once you identify your silver and accept our quote, your price is locked. We utilize a Delta Neutral hedging strategy to protect your value while your shipment is in transit, ensuring you receive the full cash amount regardless of market spikes or dips.
